There are great old-fashioned burger joints, but it takes a special place to also get the ambience and setting to spark up nostalgia like this place does. I highly recommend you grab your spouse, head to downtown Denison, and park at this drive-in and grab a burger, some fries, and a shake or float. The experience is something you just have to feel for yourself. The staff is friendly and fits the vibe.

This place has a special place in my heart. It is what I consider to be a good old classic burger. Not fancy no sugar coating just a classic joint. This place is an example that classic drive ins can thrive in a over saturated market of tasteless fast food. Keep in mind I said drive in. Yes it has seating inside but only a few tables. If you're lucky enough to grab one when it gets busy. With a dollar large sweet tea to touch the hearts of the southern community. This place has and will be going strong for years to come. Just wish it was open a little later.

I am sticking with 4 stars. Management needs to learn how to order product. This is a wonderful local place and should consistently have everything thats on the menu. I would be happy to come teach ordering techniques and how to use build ups to always be in stock. When its there it is good, when you keep running out you are telling your customers you are too busy. Service is friendly, some servers more than others, the wait time is expected because everything is cooked to order = Fresh and hot. Onion rings are to die for. Apple turn overs are perfect size and old school tasty. Really! Now just get that staying in stock thing down and you will see me there at least twice a week! And I really will teach you how to order if you need it. Reach for that 5th star!

Without a doubt, the best onion rings I've had in my entire life. Not too thick, not too thin, and cooked until crunchy! The hamburger was excellent as well. Go for the onion rings, stay for the rest. Might as well get two orders of onion rings up front...they're that good!

We were checking out nearby downtown Denison and some of the historical sites nearby when the Watsons Hamburgers sign spoke to our grumbling stomachs. We didn't realize it was an 'old-timey' drive-in when we were walking up, and were relived to see that they had seating indoors. There are about 6 tables that seat about 4 people each inside, not much room if they get busy. They also have a sign posted that there is no public restroom. The portions here are pretty large and definitely filling. I ordered a double cheeseburger, I added another slice of cheese because it normally only comes with one slice. For my side I got a large order of tater tots. The total for 2 burgers, 2 large sides, and 2 large drinks plus tip came to around $20. This place seemed pretty popular as our table was the only one open when we got there and a line formed once we ordered and sat. It's really nice to see spots like this still thriving with so many other fast food chains around.
